AAAJL's Review Method and Its Limits

AAAJL writes a lot about wagering arithmetic and expected loss, which only works if the method behind it is visible. This page is that method. AAAJL is an independent publisher, not a casino: no gaming licence, no deposits, no games, no access to any account, and no score at the end of any page.

Three outputs, and nothing else

A page describing an operator can honestly contain three things: a record of what the operator publishes, a check of the narrow part that can be matched against an independent source, and an explicit statement of what remains unknown. Anything beyond those three is opinion presented as measurement, and this market already has more of that than it can use.

That restraint has a cost we accept. It means pages here are shorter on verdicts and longer on qualifications than most of this market, and it means we sometimes have nothing useful to say about an operator at all. A page that records only that very little is disclosed is a legitimate outcome of this method rather than a failure of it.

The arithmetic we will do, and the numbers we will not use

This site works through bonus wagering and expected loss in detail, and that is legitimate because the arithmetic is general: a wagering multiple applied to an amount produces a required turnover, and a house edge applied to turnover produces an expected cost. Those calculations need no inside knowledge and hold wherever the inputs are published.

What we will not do is supply the inputs ourselves. We do not state an operator's bonus size, minimum withdrawal, fee or payout time as fact, because those are set by the operator and change without notice. Where a worked example appears on this site, the numbers in it are illustrative and the reader is told to substitute the figures from the operator's own cashier and promotion terms.

What can be verified independently

Two things, really. A licensing claim can be matched against a regulator's public register, with the caveat that an entry belongs to a legal company rather than a brand, and that a register is a snapshot rather than a permanent status. And Philippine payment rails can be described as systems, because they are public: InstaPay settles in real time within a per-transaction cap, while PESONet processes in batches on banking days. Between them those two rails explain most weekend withdrawal frustration without anybody being at fault.

Everything else in a description is attributed. Where a statement comes from the operator, the page says so in those words, so that a reader never has to guess whether we checked something or simply read it.

What never appears here

  • Operator payout times, fees or minimums as our own facts.
  • Approval rates, dispute outcomes, or how support treated another player.
  • Verdicts on game fairness, which cannot be established from outside the chain.
  • Promotion sizes or licence references borrowed from other publishers.
  • We tested, we deposited, we withdrew or we contacted support. None of it occurred.
  • A named human reviewer, since a byline we invented would misdescribe how this is produced.
  • Scores, rankings, player counts and guaranteed outcomes.

Disclosure, and what commission does not buy

Assume that outbound links here may be partner links and that commission can be earned when a reader opens an account. It buys no criterion, no softened warning, no reordering, and no figure we could not verify. The list immediately above is the test of that, because it catalogues precisely what a site optimising only for conversion would be delighted to publish.

Pages carry published and modified dates. Operators change terms without informing publishers, so where this site and the operator's current pages disagree, the operator is right and the page is stale. AAAJL takes no deposits, runs no games, cannot release a withdrawal and cannot access an account. Gambling is for adults 21 and over.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you publish scores or rankings?

No. We publish criteria, findings and gaps. A score would hide its weighting, and the right weighting differs from reader to reader.

Why does the site do bonus arithmetic but refuse to quote bonus amounts?

The arithmetic is general and needs no inside knowledge; the amounts are operator-set and change without notice. Worked examples here are illustrative, with the reader told to substitute current figures.

What satisfies your licence criterion?

A named corporate entity appearing on the regulator's own public register. Badge images and footer numbers do not meet it.

Have you tested these operators with your own money?

No. No deposits were made and no play took place; the method covers published documents and claims that can be checked independently.

Does commission affect the wording?

No. It changes no criterion, no warning and no ordering. If it did, this page would be worthless and so would the rest of the site.
